William Makepeace Thackeray         William Makepeace Thackeray was born on July 18, 1811 in Calcutta, India to Richmond Thackeray and Anne Becher Thackeray. Thackeray was sent to depose in England in 1817 two years after his lift died. Soon after Thackeray had left, his mother and her new husband linked him in England.         In school Thackeray spent most of his result reading fabrications and sketching, hobbies that stayed with him through out his life.
