Plato Exam
When considering the teachings of Plato, it is nearly impossible to purloin his metaphysics, epistemology, and psychology, as they are deeply intertwined. For this reason, the question, what dope we know cannot be answered apart from consideration of the questions, what is the structure of the soul (or mind)? and what is most factual in the universe?. Plato believes that ones epistemic position depends on the realms-- his epistemology is linked to metaphysics. Ideas about cognition are dependant on ideas about the character of the universe and the soul; these are based upon the rational, which is one component of his conception of the tripartite soul, which he discusses in book IV of the Republic. The circumstances under which we strain knowledge, which is certain and innate, are expressly limited.
Knowledge is foundational-- it is distinct from the metaphysical realm of Being. Rather, there exists the Forms, which are in the realm of Being. They are not knowledge itself, but what we score knowledge of. This knowledge is attained when we use the cognitive faculty of understanding to finish the comprehensible objects, Forms.
This faculty, understanding, is not knowledge, but a means to attaining it. We have an

ontological experience as we grasp the Forms, which are kinds of things. This relates metaphysically, to the nature of realism, to the realm of Being. This is how we experience the epistemological, the cognitive, the ontological, and the metaphysical, how we can deduce the nature of reality from kinds of things through an understanding of the mind attained from knowledge. This is parallel to how look stems belief which is experienced through sensibles which leads to becoming.
