Based on the data provided, I believe the common reason for the absences ar the combined band events between the two conditions. According to the school calendars, there is a self-consistent pattern of an increase in absences every time the school bands participate together.
Below are two testable hypotheses on how a determination can be made of who is the cause of the absences:
Hypotheses #1: Based on the tuition provided from the graphs, school calendars and parent interviews there is a viral epidemic within four schools and a determination of where it started or who is the bearer needs to be established. If we are able to track locations and dates of all told band events where most students became sick after being candid to, to consistently create a pattern within long time of exposure to particular places than this would provide evidence of what school is the carrier.



Per advice of the County health Service Department we must track individual symptoms of stomachaches, headaches and dissolution; to include longevity of the symptoms along with whether the child required medical checkup attention and/or prescriptions verses letting the symptoms run its course. Based on concrete evidence we could then determine if the epidemic is so a virus that has been contracted due to exposure from other students at band events spreading bacteria and/or parasites to the digestive tract, which would explain the cause of the increase in absences during the month of whitethorn after a specific band participates with other bands.
